The City of Bellbrook has a consistent pattern regarding the amounts of trash and recycling collected. Each month, recycling accounts for about 9% to 16% of the total waste, while municipal solid waste (trash) makes up about 83% to 90%. Rumpke, our waste management service, provides a monthly breakdown of the refuse disposed of by residents, measured in tons. The variations in these amounts can be attributed to factors like spring cleaning, holidays, vacations, and home renovations.

When compared to 2023, the tonnage for trash and recycling has remained fairly stable:

2024: Trash = 87.53%, Recycling = 12.47%
2023: Trash = 87.68%, Recycling = 12.32%
