Citizens Academy of Bellbrook
The Citizens Academy of Bellbrook is a multi-week program, typically lasting six to seven weeks, that provides residents with a unique opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of local government. Participants engage in educational sessions with various City departments, each focusing on areas such as finance, public works, police, fire, and planning/zoning. The program concludes with a final session at a City Council meeting, where participants receive certificates.
These interactive sessions include activities such as facility tours, equipment showcases, and demonstrations. Throughout the course, attendees will have the opportunity to interact with City officials and gain valuable insights into the workings of their local government.
The goal of the Citizens Academy is to involve residents in learning about City operations, enhance communication between the City and the community, and strengthen relationships within Bellbrook. The program is free and open to all adult residents of Bellbrook. We encourage you to sign up as soon as possible, as space is limited. Please note that you should only sign up if you can attend the majority of the sessions.
The schedule for the 2025 Citizens Academy of Bellbrook will be released soon, so please check back for more information and updates. The enrollment application will also be available at that time.
